Home Screen Widget: Scan Before the Receipt Is in Your Pocket
A receipt gets scanned when it is in your hand at the till, not when you remember it that evening.
The tap is the point
Unlocking the phone, finding the app, waiting for it to load and locating the scan button is enough friction to lose a receipt. The widget collapses that to one tap from the Home Screen straight into the camera.
Everything else about receipt-keeping is downstream of whether the receipt was captured at all.
What it shows between scans
A widget that only holds a button wastes its square. This one also carries the figures worth glancing at: total spend for the current month, the month's name, and how many free scans are left today — or an infinity mark on Pro.
It matches your theme
The widget is painted in whichever variant the app is wearing. Pick Midnight and it is deep navy; pick Paper and it is ink on cream. Change the theme in the app and the widget repaints.
There is a circular accessory version for the Lock Screen, with the same one-tap scan.
Adding it
Touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen, tap the + in the corner, search for ReceGuard, and pick the small square. Drag it somewhere your thumb reaches without stretching — the value is entirely in how little effort it takes to use.
Start with one receipt.
No account, no upload, no setup. Scan something from your wallet and see what the record looks like.
